This series of paintings took shape in my Brooklyn studio, then continued in my  Richmond studio. The language of images developed in the portrait painting series moved to the forefront and became the subject. Issues of the day are explored through this language of images on large scale canvasses. Themes ripped from the headlines of the day from,  torture, war, to the rescues after Hurricane Katrina, unite art history with the history of the day.
