QUIET MONKEYS, 2010-2011

Encaustic Painting & paper mache Sculpture

Conceived as relics from an archeological dig. Monkeys, from another age, teeter between the ancient and the modern. Reaching up, recovering from a drunk, a centerpiece for a perfect brunch or percussion instruments, make up this body of work. Quiet Monkeys are the hum of everyday life that stretches across time and connects us all.  Seeking the Monkey in us makes us more human.  Quiet Monkeys represent the best in us.  Reaching upward and inward.
